Description
This research proposal examines the significant cost differences in AWS deployments between developed and developing areas. It emphasizes essential services like EC2, S3, and Lambda to measure these variations, explore their technical, economic, and geopolitical causes, and evaluate their effects on digital innovation in developing nations, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa. Utilizing a mixed-methods strategy that merges quantitative pricing analysis with qualitative interviews from stakeholders, the research aims to pinpoint the main obstacles to affordable cloud adoption for organizations in Sub-Saharan regions.. The findings are anticipated to provide strategic recommendations for AWS, policymakers, higher education institutions, businesses, and local organizations to reduce cost barriers and foster a more equitable and inclusive global cloud computing landscape.
