The AstroXMat Research Laboratory, with support from Hack4dev, is organizing a 4-day Data Science Hackathon as part of a global initiative that brings together students, researchers, and young professionals across different regions to build data science capacity.
During the hackathon, participants will work in multidisciplinary teams to solve a real-world machine learning challenge. They will also receive guidance and mentorship from expert trainers and data science practitioners.
Applications are open to postgraduate students and final-year undergraduates who:
● Have basic Python programming skills
● Are interested in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
● Enjoy teamwork and collaborative problem-solving
● Can attend the full hackathon and complete the pre-hackathon learning activities
Requirements
● A laptop
● Commitment to attend all hackathon sessions
● Completion of the pre-hackathon learning materials
● Supervisor’s approval to attend
