African Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus SUMMIT

Theme: Harnessing Resources for Sustainable Climate-Smart Water-Secure Development

Dear Contributor,

Thank you for your interest in presenting at the African WEFE Nexus Summit, scheduled to take place from 13–16 July 2026 at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. You are invited to submit an abstract for consideration. Please carefully follow the submission instructions outlined below.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Abstracts must be prepared in MS Word (.docx) format using Arial, 12-point font, and should include the following elements:

Abstract Title:

Font size 16 pt, bold. The title should be concise and clearly reflect the nature of the study. Capitalize only the first letter of the first word.

Authors:

List all contributing authors as First name or initials, Last name.

Affiliation:

Provide institutional affiliations for each author, including institution, city, state/province (if applicable), and country, using superscript numbering, in italics.

Email Contact:

Provide a valid email address for the corresponding author (usually the presenting author). If different, please indicate both.

Abstract Body:

A concise summary of the research or presentation (maximum 500 words). One figure or table may be included. Abstracts should be single-spaced and clearly state the purpose, methods, key results, and conclusions.

Conference Theme/Category:

Indicate the most relevant conference theme/category from the conference topic list.

Presentation Type:

Indicate your preferred format: Oral Presentation or Poster Presentation.

Best Poster Competition:

Posters based on graduate student research are eligible for evaluation. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

• Follow the formatting guidelines strictly.
• Name the file using all authors’ last names (e.g., Addo_Marful.docx).
• Submit via the submission button below, no later than May 8, 2026.

REVIEW & ACCEPTANCE

• Timelines for Abstract Submission as follow:
• Call for abstracts is published on 27th February 2026.
• Deadline for abstract submission by authors: 8th May 2026.
• Review of abstracts completed by 12th May 2026.
• Feedback on accepted abstract sent to authors by 15th May 2026.
• Deadline for Online Registration to attend the summit by 29th May 2026.
